Wish Big!!

What's your wish? Is it your birthday? Happy Birthday to my cousin Kyle! Anniversary? Happy Anniversary to my cousin Michelle and her hubby Jason as well as to my dear friend Connie and Big Jim. (I miss you guys!) Today, my wishes go out to you, but also for healing and peace in Japan.

I can't believe it's been over a week since I've posted.  The past week just flew by! I keep telling myself if I had only stuck to my New Year's Resolution, I'd be atleast 15 pounds lighter by now...oh well, I will start up the running again today! My wish is also that my kids stay healthy! I don't know about you, but we've had more than our share of sickness in the Duenas' household this year!

I am off to get my runnin' shoes on and set off into the streets of Stonington.  I really hope the IPod is charged. I am going to need the music blarin' today!  Then I get some pamper time for myself...Chiropractor and cut and color. I love getting my head washed.  It's about the best 5 min. of bliss I can imagine! I know, crazy!

Don't forget, there are only about 8 more days to take advantage of the great deals for Sell-a-bration. Head on over to my website here to check out the catalog and order online today!

Today, wish big! I read a saying last night that just popped into my mind and I'll leave you with that.  "Why wish for the sky when there are footsteps on the moon."

Have an awesome day!

Super Sunday!

What a weekend! We had an awesome day yesterday stamping and scrappin' all day! I did not leave the Hall for over 12 hours. I heard it was really nice yesterday! We had so much fun and I met so many awesome people! They kept making fun of me for "working" the room! You guys know how friendly and social I am!  I didn't scrapbook a single page, and didn't touch a single ink pad or stamp set! I did show how to make a flip album as well as a covered notebook.  I will show you the flip album tomorrow....so stayed tuned!

This was one of the make and takes we did! I brought stuff to make for an upcoming craft fair. I never in a million years though we would make covered notebooks at a scrapbooking retreat! Goes to show how much I know! LOL  Here's a close up of the flowers:

I am soooo addicted to making these things! I love them! I used both scallop circle punches, Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi and Very Vanilla cardstock as well as the Vintage Brads.  I am so in love with the Vintage Brads!

Don't forget, there are only 16 more days to take advantage of Sell-a-bration specials! The paper on the Daffodil Delight notebook is Ice Cream Parlor, which you can get for FREE when you order $50 or more in Stampin' Up! merchandise! Click here to go to my Stampin' Up! website and order today!

Enjoy the short, one hour less!, day and the freezing cold temperatures of Central IL! I am going to stay inside and stamp all day!

Dream Big!

Today's card seems fitting. I have the awesome opportunity to follow one of my lifelong dreams of opening my own little artsy shop.  It is super exciting and super scary at the same time. You start to doubt yourself, worry about money, and of course, making it work with my awesome friend! I don't want to ruin a friendship over a failed business...see, my doubt is kicking in again!  The hubby says go for it and my heart tells me go for it, but the little devil on my shoulder says, no, don't, you can lose money, you will fail, etc....Shut up little devil!!!  We are going for it...with confidence!!!!

Today's card uses the stamp set, Word Play, from the 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Catalog and Idea Book.  I love this set, full of great saying!  I also used the Celebrations Designer Paper, Real Red and Pacific Point Cardstock. I also used the Scallop Border Punch, which I seriously, can not live without!

Don't forget, Sell-a-brations ends soon!  Check out my website to order today! For every $50 you spend, you get a FREE SAB stamp set or accessory!  Gotta love FREE!!

Going confidentally in the direction of MY dreams!

Scrapbooking Fundraiser

On Saturday, March 12, I am participating in an all day scrapbook event.  The even runs from 8-8. For $25, you get three meals, snacks, drinks and door prizes!  The event helps support an area Food Pantry and the Senior Citizens Van.  Below is my make and take for the event. It is a fold out mini-photo album using the Sell-a-bration Designer Series Paper & Quick Accents Pack as well as Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Peach Parfait and Pacific Point cardstock all from Stampin' Up!

The cover is the top picture, with a belly band. It opens up to see my three beautiful children, then each one opens up again to journal and another picture.  The bottom picture isn't very clear, I apologize for that!

If you want to join us on Sat., email me at aduenas@consolidated.net and I will give you all the information.

Go to  my website to order today. Don't forget, SAB runs through the end of the month! Order $50 and receive FREE product!

Thinking of Spring!

It's such a rainy, dreary day here, so I thought a little spring card might be in order. Excuse the watermark. I am still learning and for some reason, I couldn't get it to layer. Oh well, it will be better next time!

Punch Pals is quickly becoming my favorite Sell-a-bration stamp set! You can choose it for FREE with your $50 order!  I also used Greenhouse Gala Designer Series paper. This paper is beautiful! You get  12 total sheets, each double sided for only $9.95.  For those who know me, know I HATE yellow, but Daffodil Delight paired with Pumpkin Pie might make me change my mind. If I had to wear it on the other hand.....

I hope you all have a wonderful day as we all await the arrival of spring in Central Illinois!
